About Ria

I always tell people I’m a “forest girl”. As a child I felt connected with nature. I always played outdoors, behaving like a tomboy while climbing trees, biking without using my hands…driving my Mom crazy. My twin sister was always at my side. A true soulmate. Later in life, I developed various feminine traits like wearing high heels and being interested in fashion.

Being passionate about expression and foreign languages, I naturally studied communications at University. My career has been spent with both family-owned businesses and Corporate enterprises like Philips Electronics. My first overseas assignment was in Saudi Arabia. I enjoyed an adventurous lifestyle complete with trips in the desert, working at the Dutch Embassy, deep sea diving & an international network of friends. My 2nd overseas experience was in Hamburg, Germany where I lived for ten years and watched my children grow up.

My 3 most beautiful moments in life: 1. Giving birth to my son, 2. Giving birth to my daughter & 3. Living an endless honeymoon in Saudi Arabia with my husband.

Next to the most cherished moments in my life, my path has allowed me to travel various ‘detours’. As a result, I love exploring diverse disciplines of expertise. I have always felt surrounded by love…whether by sports, healthy food, music, friends & family. And more recently, I have felt loved by myself since I started “watering the grass”.

I strongly believe that “everything happens for a reason”. So I started studying various topics related to the human experience. All these peaks & valleys taught me much about Love Ceremonies.

How to combine love for another person with love for yourself in one website? For months my mind & my heart have been in close communication and the result is RIAKOS LOVE CEREMONIES.

I listen to the whisper of my heart. To inspire and be inspired about love is the most beautiful activity on Planet Earth.
